From Pastor Jeff's Desk...
Psalm 40:1-3 (NLT) "I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walk along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what the Lord has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord"
There's a Gospel chorus that says, "I don't mind waiting on the Lord." I know waiting doesn't make anybody's top ten favorites list, but it's a reality in this life, as well as in Kingdom Life. God's timetable and our own are not always in sync. However, according to the Psalmist David, it's worth the wait when you're waiting on the Lord.
Your help is coming from the Lord! He hears every cry! He will lift you out of the pit and set you on solid ground... and steady you as you walk through this life! He will change your song from "Woe is Me" to "Great is He" and it will draw the attention of many to what the Lord has done for you!
So, wait as long as it takes! The Lord's timing is perfect! Some things just don't happen in five minutes, but if you'll wait on the Lord with faith and expectancy, He will hear and answer your cry. You and many others will be blessed because of your readiness to wait on the Lord.
